animex festival 2008

'hold the mustard' makes it's animation festival debut!!
it is playing at the animex international festival of animation and computer games. the festival runs all week at the university of teesside in middlesbrough. due to some sweet glory and dumb luck... the bear is up for the 2d animation award! ...oh if only...

this piece was put together as a submission for the richmond winter festival. it had to be related to winter and olympic games... hence bobsledding polar bears. hugh is a not a polar bear... but he is a friend currently sledding for Canada and i am very proud of him.

trick 17

along with a group of vfs alumni and one hi-jacked d.i.p. instructor, we participated in the 2007 trick 17 stop motion competition. so after 50 odd hours, a case of red bull and one exploited moose photocopy... you have our masterpiece 'can't stop the hip hop'

oh by the way, we won best picture in the competition too!! (toot toot!!) here is the whole team with our big sweet prize!

here is my bear! starring in 'hold the mustard', the short film i directed and animated during my time at vfs. the whole film was animated the good ole classical way, all hand drawn!
